• The salesperson at Best Buy told me that it is unlocked, but I have not tried it with a non Verizon SIM card yet.

• This model is locked to Verizon.

• The phone I purchased came with the verizon sim card installed. You can purchase one without a sim card I am sure or remove it to use elsewhere.

• Truly unlocked out of the box is only available through Google store. After activating on Verizon this is unlocked within 24 hours.
