Thanks for the question, wayneinseattle. Yes, the Pixel Watch 3 is able to make and receive calls. The LTE option allows calls without your phone nearby, while the WiFi only version requires being connected to your phone via bluetooth.

This watch is great. LTE can make/take phone calls as long as you have it connected to your Phone's plan. I use it as a running watch and it's a huge safety benefit for my family to be able to contact me or for me to call if I have an emergency, even if I'm not carrying my phone.

Yes you can. I use Google Fi service for this.
