It seems that some functionality is lost, not sure if it’s a USB-C issue or not. See my review regarding volume control with Bose headphones. If I had to guess, this does not support 2-way functions. Which may mean it is not passing your microphone through. Also, AUX connections on older cars were mostly one-way, you can play music, hear GPS, etc., but not use the microphone on your cell.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unfortunately I think you will need Bluetooth earbuds to handle phone calls. Perhaps the Google USB C earbuds (no adapter needed) would work for calls but I'm not sure about that.
