• While technically yes this would work as it is USB-C, the dongle is intended for phones without a headphone jack, since the galaxy S8 still includes a headphone jack on the phone this dongle is not needed.

• Yes! But the Samsung Galaxy S8 has a 3.5mm headphone port already. Why do you need this?
