No. It will not work unless you have physical access to that router at the coffee shop. With this system you are required to connect one of the devices directly to the router with an Ethernet cable. This system will not create any network of any kind. It will only boost any existing system that it's plugged into. Its basically a bad ars WiFi broadcast extender.
