Yes. This is a router. It replaces your previous router. It is not a cable modem, but it connects to the modem and routes wifi throughout your home.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.As long as you have a modem bringing internet service into your home then this system will be the wifi router. Just connect one of the Google modules to the modem and you should be fine.
