• yes!! we had issues with our isp modem/router boxes. after 3 months of issues/techs on site, nothing fixed issues. ...until we bought google mesh. we have it connected to the router/modem. works perfectly.

• You may need to turn off the wifi broadcast from your current hardware. Unless the signal coming from your current setup really stinks, I don't know that this will really help.
