“I built a metal shop about 100ft away from my house. I can get my wifi to connect when the garage door is up on my shop as soon as I close it the wifi looses signal. If I put 1google wifi in my shop and 1 in my house will it work with the door closed.”

If they share the same electrical box I'd recommend a power line Ethernet adapter with one of these as any wireless mesh system or wireless extender would likely not work well otherwise because of the interference.
