Although I love my Google WiFi, there are a lot of "advanced" settings that you might be accustomed to that simply are not there. Frankly, although most reviewers say that Google WiFi should be used as the "only" router, I disagree if you have a need for deep configuration options with some of your devices (but not all of them: if you need deep configuration options for a single network serving ALL devices, Google WiFi is a poor choice). I use the Google WiFi to get easy and reliable coverage throughout my large apartment for "consumer-related" purposes but have a different WiFi network in my home office for when I need deeper configuration choices like DDNS.
