No, you only connect one of the pods via Ethernet. The other two you just plug into a power outlet and it links wirelessly.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The main unit is connected to my son's computer in our office (on one side of our apartment ) and also in to an regular electric plug. The other two units , which are placed in other rooms, are only plugged in to regular electric plugs. We are pleased with this "set" , since we live in a good sized apartment with very well built, heavy walls and we had not been getting WiFi in other rooms even with extenders. These work for us very well so far..
