I don't have Orbi, but my buddy swears by it for his 4500 sqft house. I don't know how strong his signal is in his backyard, but the Google wifi produces a strong signal all over a 13k+ sqft lot. If I didn't go with Google Wifi, then I definitely would buy Orbi, due to the greater overall networking features, and faster wireless only mesh network. Thier wireless only mesh network is the fastest in the Industry due to the dedicated third backhall channel. Google wifi produces and overall faster wifi and LAN experience if you connect each access point via Ethernet cables, which the Orbi doesn't offer. I had that chance and still chose the Google Wifi, due to the access control features it has for Individual connected devices, and the overall cost for a three AP solution.

I have a 6000 square foot house with 200Mbps Internet service from Comcast. I consistently receive 140Mbps+ from my wireless devices throughout my house which is the same speed i'm getting from my wired connection. For the price difference, you really can't beat the Google WiFi setup - just my opinion.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I've used both and the speed all around on the Netgear Orbi is faster because it uses a dedicated 5ghz band for backhaul compared to to Google Wifi. That being said the Google Wifi is pretty comparable in both speed and coverage and it costs less. I no longer use the Netgear because my Wife thinks it looks like a giant neighborhood air freshener.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.online reviews are clearly showing a significant performance edge to orbi at long range connection speed. But it is a cost/benefit calculation you would need to do.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That's more a choice, Orbi cost more, it's uglier but it's more powerful. Check out this review, make your own choice. http://www.theverge.com/2016/12/6/13843536/google-wifi-review-mesh-router-system-vs-eero
