When using the Time Lapse feature, you have to be patient. The ratio is close to 8:1 (8 seconds of real time equals 1 second of time lapse video. It’s best to have your battery fully charged or your device plugged in and leave it alone to do what it does.

Please try again later.The duration of a time lapse depends on the interval you use for the time lapse (ex. one shot every 5 seconds vs. every 5 minutes), the size of your memory card, and the power supply you're using with the camera. In general though, you can record very long time lapses if you choose to. Some users are able to record time lapses that last weeks or longer. Plus, the HERO11 Black is able to use GoPro's newest features that are available through GoPro Labs which can allow you to customize your time lapses to fit your specific needs.
