It has a wide lens, not sure if it’ll be enough to film the whole field and still be able to see players clearly

That may be enough to capture a soccer game, depending on how close you were to the sidelines. If you need a wider angle, you can use the GoPro Max Lens Mod with the HERO11 Black. The Max Lens Mod bumps the field of view up to 155°.
