“When I turn on the camera, it does so without any image. The rear display remains black with no image. I haven't put a micro SD in it, but maybe at least it gave me the option to turn on the Bluetooth. The same thing happens with both batteries.”

If the camera isn't damaged, then there could be an issue with the firmware. Try doing an update on the camera to see if that resolves the issue. If not, the GoPro Support team can help you with additional troubleshooting steps.
