Put in the battery in the camera and start charging it as normal where the usb port is in the camera and do the same with the other battery after it’s charged.

With this cable, you can connect one end to the camera and the other to a USB power supply, like the one you might use to charge a cell phone. Once connected to a power source, the battery will charge while it's inside the camera. Another option is to get a GoPro Dual Battery Charger.
