• Yes - advertised to be waterproof right out of the box to 10m and 60m with the protective case you can buy. Best Buy has that for ~$44, which we bought to film our SCUBA dives.

• The HERO13 Black is waterproof on its own down to 33 feet. If you plan to go deeper than that, you will want to use a protective housing for those deeper dives.
