Given the wide angle of frame this camera would work for you. Would recommend recording in the highest frame rate possible so you can edit/zoom to the action later.

The camera has zoom capability but you have to manually activate the zoom function before starting each video capture. The function I love is the voice activation capability. You can have both hands full of what ever you are doing and say “GoPro start video” to begin capturing life as it happens! For most of the videos I want to capture of my life, I could not have asked for a better camera. The voice command control is a feature I will recommend to all my friends and family! Specifically for your use, you can attach it to the fence, and verbally start and stop video and photo captures without having to touch the camera!
