• The wifi connection is the main data transfer connection, so it is the one that needs to be on for the connection to work. The bluetooth connection is a supporting connection to help with functions like reactivating the wifi connection when the GoPro goes into a standby mode, so just having the bluetooth connection on and not the wifi connection is not an option.
