Thank you for your question. The smart functionality is built into the entire integrated fixture — it's not a replaceable bulb, so you'll need to replace the whole unit when it burns out. These downlights are designed to be installed into a standard recessed can housing via an E26 socket, not plugged into a wall outlet. Please feel free to ask if you have any other concerns.
