Hi Bevy. Thank you for your question. The pressure washer detergent will go into the 'soap applicator bottle'. Ensure to follow the diluting steps from your detergent bottle, or follow 1 parts soap to 10 parts water, 1:10 ratio. Add the soap into the foam cannon bottle. Otherwise treat the area to be cleaned with a spray bottle first and let sit 10 minutes. Then go over area with pressure washer.

In the foam cannon that comes with it.  I can also use my foam cannon I already had that was a little larger.
