The green works battery (when charged) works as a portable charging device for your iPhone or other portable devices that can be charged via USB!! I bought this battery thinking it could be charged when plugged into a USB cable then into an AC outlet. They did not word it very clearly in the description where I bought it from. All they had to say was the battery works as a portable charging device for Devices that charge via USB cable.

To use the battery as a charger for your device, make sure that the battery pack is charged. Then pull the dust cover. (located on the top of the charger) Next, insert a USB plug into USB power port to supply power or charge your device. *USB cord is not included* This information can be found in the owners manual.
