• Hello cliff - Yes, the lawn mower can be operate without the self-propelled feature. Simply, do not engage the lever associated with the propelling feature and the unit will not propel forward. The run time will last longer without the self-propelled option being engaged.

• Yes. Don’t squeeze the gray levers on the handle and self propulsion won’t be engaged; and it pushes freely under your own power. Battery lasts longer if you don’t squeeze them.
