yes-as long as it is a greenworks 80v tool---the batteries are interchangeable 4 amp is just more powerful and lasts longer than the 2 amp. I interchange them on all my 80V tools from Greenworks.

All the greenwroks equipment that I own works with 80 volt batteries. Batteries are interchangeable between tools. I don't have a chainsaw, but I'm sure if you chainsaw uses 80 volt batteries, there won't be any problem using another tool's battery.

Hello VH5150. Thank you for your question. Each voltage line (24V, 40V, 60V, and 80V) has a set of tools that are only interchangeable within their own voltage platform. Only Greenworks batteries, chargers, and machines of the same voltage are compatible and interchangeable with one another. So if the voltage is the same then yes it will work.
