• The weight is ok, it's not super light, but it allows it to operate smoothly without many interruptions. It is much lighter than gas models of the same size. The blades are very sharp. They cut my hedge like butter. This reduces the time and effort spent on the job.

• Hello Billy - Product Weight 7.17 pounds. We do not advise the customer for any of our hedge trimmers to sharpen the blade themselves unless they are familiar with this task. In most cases, it is required to take the unit to a qualified technician for sharpening.
