A:AnswerYes as long as its 60v. But the 4ah and 5ah wont get you 20 miles like the 8ah does. Stick with same 60V. The AH is runtime you get. As you said 8ah = 20 miles. Then my guesstimate is that the 60V 4ah might get you 10 miles.

When using (2) batteries with different amp hours (Ah),
the machine will run until the lower (Ah) battery is depleted.

Each voltage line (24V, 40V, 60V and 80V) has a set of tools that are only interchangeable within their own voltage platform. Only Greenworks batteries, chargers and machines of the same voltage are compatible and interchangeable with one another.
