• A:Answer Hello tMike. While the 4.0Ah battery is physically compatible, a 2.0Ah battery does allow for better balance, and control. You will also feel much less fatigue with the lower ampere-hour (Ah) batteries due to the weight.

Each voltage platform (24V/48V, 40V, 60V, 80V, and 82V) has a dedicated set of tools that are only interchangeable within the same voltage range. For example, an 80V 2.0Ah battery will work in any 80V unit but is not compatible with 24V/48V, 40V, 60V, or 82V units. Only Greenworks batteries, chargers, and machines of the same voltage are compatible and interchangeable. We hope this information helped!
