Hello Steve. It depends on what you are washing! Be sure to read all instructions on the soap that you are using before putting soap in the tank as it likely needs to be diluted. We recommend starting with less and topping up as needed to avoid you having to waste product. Over time with use, you will get a feel for what is necessary.
