• A:Answer I use about 2 teaspoons of vegetable oil on a lint-free cleaning cloth. I pour the oil on the cloth then I rub the oil on the top of the grill in a circular motion.

• A:Answer I would say no. This fits my JGP5030SLSS perfectly. Per the "Griddle for GE Gas Cooktops" guide this griddle is compatible with models GE JGP5030DLBB, JGP5030SLSS, Café CGP9530SLSS, Profile PGP7030DLBB, PGP7030DLWW, PGP7030SLSS, PGP9030SLSS. I have a 30 inch cooktop and I believe all these models are 30 inch. I believe yours is a 36 inch? The space mine fits in is about 18.5 in deep x 9.25" at widest point narrowing down to 6 3/8". Photos attached of grate and griddle on cooktop. Hope this helps.

Q: QuestionThe GE profile cooktop states the grids are dishwasher safe, is this griddle dishwasher safe too ? If not, how do you clean it ~ especially when cooking really greasy things like burgers ? ...... THANK YOU

We do not recommend washing this griddle in a dishwasher. The cleaning process for this cast iron griddle is as follows: (After cooking) Let the griddle cool and pour off excess grease. Wash the griddle in hot water with a sponge or stiff brush. Do not use scrubbing pads or steel wool. Lastly, we suggest towel drying and applying a light coat of cooking spray or vegetable oil. Q: QuestionI purchased this grill with my new stovetop and it is very rough! I have always had grills that were smooth. I tried cooking an egg on it and I am still trying to remove pieces of it from grill, scrubbing is not working very well.

• A:Answer Hi there, We're sorry to hear about your cooking troubles. We are finding that this griddle is made out of cast iron and therefore will absorb a large amount of heat and take longer to cool down than normal stainless steel cookware. The cast iron material is why you are finding it to have a rough texture to it. We found the following information regarding seasoning your cast iron before cooking with it: 1. Before using the first time, wash with hot water only (no soap) to make sure it is clean. 2. Dry thoroughly. 3. Then, season it with a light coating of vegetable oil. 4. After cooking, let the griddle cool and pour off excess grease. 5. Wash the griddle in hot water with a sponge or stiff brush. Do not use scrubbing pads or steel wool. 6. Towel dry and apply a light coat of cooking spray or vegetable oil. Store in cool, dry place. If you did not season your cast iron before you cooked on it then this could be why you are experiencing troubles. We hope that the above information helps. • A:Answer The griddle just sits on top of the burners so while it will work it is a bit larger so it slides back and forth a small amount. I would advise buying the 30" griddle (JXGRIDL230) that fits tight unless you really need the small amount of additional cooking surface on the 36"
