“I need to know if an iPad 1 will fit in the Griffin Survivor case? I can't find the specs for the iPad one anyplace. Every time I get my husband a new one I cycle the old one to a Grandson(age 9 & 12). Just gave the 9 year old the iPad 1 and I wanted to get him a nice case for it.”

• Wikipedia has the dimensions for the original iPad. Do a search for iPad 1. As best I recall, there are some differences in the iPad 1 and later versions. I can't remember if it was camera placement or other things, but I don't think the survivor case will fit the iPad 1.

• Hello I actually had asked this question while I was looking at Ipad cases, The iPAD1 actually is the only Ipad that has its own individual size, you must get a case specific to the Ipad1. The Ipad 2-3-4 are all the same size.

• All I can say is try it. Take your iPad to store, have them help you fit it with the Griffin. Then you'll know right away.

• I highly doubt this case will work for the original iPad. The original model was a fair bit larger than the iPad 2/3/4 models. I don't know if they are still making cases for the original or not, but even if they are not, you could probably find one somewhere.

• There is a case that will work for iPad 1 I believe. Just take your iPad with you to the store and ask the associates to assist you and they can see if it will fit.
