It has survived numerous drops and the screen is somewhat protected because it is recessed behind the edges. I would still suggest a good screen protector for the ultimate protection.

Have had one on my phone for 8 months and it still looks like new. I throw it in my pocketbook without fear of damage. Have dropped it many times. No damage.
