The screen is attached to a plastic rim THAT sandwiches the ipad to the back of the cover. No need for extra screen protector
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Screen cover is attached. There is a plastic bezel that cover the front all the way to the edge of the display area. It will not "click" closed if there is a glass screen protector on it.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The plastic screen is attached to the case and is not removable. You could probably put a HD glass screen protector on your device as a secondary precaution, but not sure how the device would respond going thru two layers of protection. You could use an exacto knife to easily remove the built-in plastic protector and use the setup you're describing. Pretty sure that would void any warranty from the mfr.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Screen is attached. You can remove it. Because it looks like it was gently glued on the inside. I'm sure you'll fit the Glass screen protector. The attached cover does have a soft plastic piece over the home button to help read fingerprints and protect. So if remove it, that may come off with it. Someone else removed it on one of these reviews.
