• What metal basket? We use the Melita type cone shaped paper filters. The generic store brand work fine at 1/2 the price.

• The metal filter is not supplied with this product. Order the filter online from Walmart, etc., but costs about $15.00+. Just buy a pack of V-shaped paper filters (#2 or #4) for less than $3.00
