“Hamilton Beach Team stated "If used correctly this opener will not introduce metal fragments into the food." Please explain what causes the metal fragments to be introduced and what NOT to do. I have seen several reviews warning this happens.”

• Thank you for your question. Allowing the can to complete only one full rotation will prevent metal slivers.

• From my understanding of others reviews and my own experience you should only let the can go around one time. More than that slivers of metal begin to appear.
