YES-I connected mine to a spare fuse slot in the fuse panel under the dash, It only had power when the key was on.Just use the right size fuse adapter that comes with the wiring kit.

Yes, you have to use a fuse slot that is only on when the the key is in the accessory position, or the car is running.

Yes you can just wire it to a fuse that turns on with the key, not a fuse that is constantly on

Yes you need to select a fuse that is energized when the The ignition switch is powered on or “switch”.
