• I think a DC power outlet would be fine. I don't see why it wouldn't work. With regard to your other question, I have not experienced any challenges with the speaker after accidentally leaving it plugged in overnight or after it had fully charged.

• I use truck DC outlet all the time, still works good. I find it that 1 amp is better than 2 amps though.

• It uses the 5v USB voltage to charge it. It comes with a USB plug to charge it
