• Every so often companies update the firmware for the product. For instance JBL Charge 2 had distotion issues that with a firmware patch cleared it right up! Fugoo, is another, no the little fugoo is distortion free and added an outdoor mode which limits the bass and pronounces the rest of the speaker to get 2x loude then before.

• I assume you are talking about the "disk" looking thing that is gold (on the ONyx 2) .. this is alike the back of a speaker I assume, as when the bass kicks in, it vibrates a lot - and provides that nice warm bass sound. you can push it in gently - like the front of a speaker.
