Do you disconnect the dishwasher as part of the haul away service? null

Nope! The guys just left and refused to take my old dishwasher because it wasn't already disconnected. Nowhere does it say that the old appliance must be disconnected. Since placing the order three days ago, I've received FIVE separate communications from Best Buy saying that removal of the new product packaging and hauling away of the product being replaced was included in my order but no mention in any of them that the old appliance had to be disconnected. When they got here they simply refused to take it and just shrugged their shoulders when I protested. On top of that, they were ready to leave with the new dishwasher still in the box until I asked them to remove the box. Then the one guy said he would cancel it but it wouldn't go through and so he put it as pending but told me it was cancelled. Now I have to get the old dishwasher out, which would have been a whole lot easier without the new one sitting in the middle of my kitchen blocking the way. Couldn't be more DISSATISFIED.

Too many folks here confusing the services. If you are paying them to install your new one, and paying them to haul away your old one, they will apparently disconnect your old one as part of the install. However, as in the case of Pck who posted the complaint, if you buy a new appliance but choose to have it only delivered, not installed, and you choose to have your old one hauled away, it would stand to reason that you'd need to disconnect the old one and have it ready to take. At least, that's the way I read the varying responses.

The installers disconnected mine and removed it.

They did. I didn't have to do anything other than make sure washer and under sink were cleared out. They also need access to breaker box (which wasn't stated in the preparation instructions, but makes sense).

item to be picked up must be ready to load onto dolly. The workers are not prepared to disconnect plumbing or electricity.

When the haulers came to pick up our not yet uninstalled dishwasher, they told us they do not uninstall, all they do is haul it away. 

They wasted a trip to our home.
