The HDHomeRun Tuner hardware is a tuner hardware for Live TV - our Free Live TV application is available in all of the usual app stores on Windows 10, iOS, Android, Amazon. Then for DVR features, you can subscribe to our HDHomeRun DVR from HDHomeRun.com and each instance of the FREE app in your home becomes a fully functional DVR application.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, you need some software to act as a PVR (personal video recorder). I use Emby, but there are others.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.No. This is to stream your OTA signal over your compatible smart Devices, TV or computers
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, it allows you to watch live TV but you need some other application/program to record TV. I use SageTV, which is free now but you need to subscribe to a programming guide separately to see a TV show schedule.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Nope. Nothing like a VCR. It's a TV Tuner -- it tunes in the channels, and puts the signal onto your home internet. There's an application -- they charge for it - that can be used to record and play back the TV shows that you select. If you consider a VCR to ONLY be a device for recording TV shows -- if you add the DVR to it, I guess you can consider that they're similar, but they're not the same. (One more thing -- if you've got channels broadcast in HD in your area, the quality is MUCH better than any VCR can achieve)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This is a DVR that records over the air programming.
