“I asked if this tripod will work with a Celestron NexStar 114GT telescope? Reply was no, weight of the mount would exceed the capacity of the tripod. I’ve now only got the tube and a friend suggested using Antares or Sky Watcher Tube Rings? Thx”

If Tube Rings are used to hold the optical tube, make sure the dovetail bar that holds the tube rings is threaded to accept the Heavy-Duty Alt-azimuth's tripod's 1/4”-20 mounting bolt.
