• I don't know if it's waterproof or not. It's supposed to be at least water resistant. But all the zippers are on the top with no guards. Because I carry my laptop computer in it, I'm not anxious to test this capability.

• It isn't described as being waterproof in any literature provided with this backpack. The material likely provides at least a moderate degree of protection from rain/snow for at least awhile, but I wouldn't stand in the rain otherwise unprotected for more than a few minutes. Perhaps a waterproofing spray can be applied if that level of protection is desired. Obviously not for use underwater!

• While this backpack is very water resistant, it is not waterproof.
