Viewing angle is fine, the over the air channels are great as long as the signal is strong. The streaming shows are amazing as long as the wifi is strong. I viewed some 4K youtube videos and was blown away.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Had the same question/concern and upon hooking it up and viewing an array of content I can honestly say its resolution is very good. Sure it's not 4k with non-4k content but based on my experience with various content it looks better/clearer than 1080p. As for viewing angles it's fine but in an effort to experience optimal viewing I've positioned the screen so most of my consumption of content is directly in front of the screen.

We just watched the NFL game last night and all my guest where shocked of the quality, viewing angles and performance. By the way since you mentioned to watch shows of cable tv, it is only far to advise that make sure you have an HD cable box and remember this TV is 4K so you will need HDMI 2.0 or higher cables. Cables are not expensive so don't worry. You will love this TV.
