“Its very hard to find useful specifications on this TV, for instance how many Nits (the unit of measuring TV brightness) is the TV. Also how many local dimming zones are there on this TV? The 55R617 has 800 nits and 96 dimming zones for comparison.”

This is a great TV in terms of brightness and IMAGE. I am not sure of the Nits, but it is very bright, and blacks are blacks. However, you will dislike this TV if you ever need to access the android part of it, or try to change inputs, but most importantly, you will never be able to have the a good lipsync. I spoke to Hisense and they just cannot fix it, so if you need to use bluetooth speakers or headphones, just skip this TV.
