I have this hooked up to a vizio 5.1 sound bar and it passes through pretty much everything to the sound bar via optical. I found this, hopefully it helps answer your question.. This TV can pass both DTS and Dolby Digital via ARC or optical, which is great, but it doesn't support eARC
