“There is a switch next to the microphone at the bottom of the TV in the center. Is the switch an analog switch that completely disables the microphone or is it more of a "soft" power off? I do not want to use voice commands and I have privacy concerns.”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have not used the switch. In the system settings menu you can turn it off there as well. I have a Google Assistant, and the tv also has one built in. I did not want conflicts between the two. If I want to give a voice command to the tv, I use the remote. Works out just fine for me.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.When you're going through the TV setup, you have the option of not enabling the built-in Google Assistant far-field microphone system (also known as hands-free). Android TV also allows you to completely disable all microphone access within the OS.
