I’ve had this TV for a little over two weeks and I can say that am I very pleased with it. Is it perfect? No. But it is quite close to perfect! I wanted to save up for an OLED tv but with life happening and things getting more and more expensive. I decided to “settle” for this Mini LED tv when I saw it one day at my local Best Buy store. This TV is so bright! Colors are very vibrant and beautiful. Contrast is amazing! Blacks are inky black, I’d say as close as you’ll get to OLED without spending thousands of dollars. It is the brightest, most vibrant TV I’ve ever owned. 4K and Dolby vision content looks fantastic. I love watching movies even more now. Gaming on this TV is also fantastic. You will get 4K 120hz on your consoles. If you connect a PC, I believe it can achieve 165hz. Gaming is so smooth and fun on this TV. Input lag is low. With my PS5, the tv will automatically detect and set game mode and Dolby vision for gaming. So cool! Apple TV will also play in Dolby vision and automatically calibrate itself for content. The speakers sound great, but I would recommend that you go into the settings and increase the subwoofer volume to 5. In the default setting, the speakers sound tinny and have that treble ish sound. Once you boost the bass / subwoofer the speakers sound very good. In fact, so good, that I don’t plan on getting a soundbar for it. I’m in an apartment so the built in speaker is good enough for me. I can’t say how long this TV will run for, I’m not sure what Hisense long term reliability is like. But for the price I paid, I am very happy with this TV, and I would probably buy it again. Pro: fantastic contrast and vibrant colors So bright it’ll seer your eyeballs. 4K 120hz for gaming consoles Dolby vision support Cons: you can see “blooming” and screen door effect in extreme situations. But majority of people will not notice it. (I’m picky) Would I recommend? Yes! This TV is the best I’ve owned and well worth the $$

    Very Good Medium-High Range TV

I purchased this TV after doing weeks of research. I selected this TV since it had the best specifications in the price range and I wasn't going to chance another OLED. I previously had 2 OLED TV's and I experienced burn in problems with both of them. I decided on this one as we watch a lot of sports and movies and also play video games so I wanted one with a higher refresh rate and able to handle the graphics without issue when playing video games. I took the chance on the Hisense, but almost pulled the trigger on a Sony 90K until I read all of the specifications and then compared them in the store. I have to tell you, I am super impressed. This TV is brighter than the OLEDs if that is even possible. The pre-programmed HDR settings work well without much adjustment out of the box. The picture is vibrant and there was not much of a need to fine tune it. However, the regular HD settings out of the box needed a lot of adjustment. The TV is so bright with the mini LEDs, if you don't tone it down the picture looks a little washed out. However, after much tweaking, I can't say enough good things about this TV. I have not noticed any motion blur when watching sports or when playing video games. Also I don't see any blooming. So, I really have yet to find any real flaws. I would recommend this TV to anyone who wants a TV with good performance at a reasonable price.

Hisense has done a wonderful job with the U8K. The picture brightness and quality looks great. SDR/HDR content upscales so beautiful. I'm blown away watching movies and sports content like NFL, Premier League, and UFC. The panel can get real bright with the local dimming but maintain the deep blacks I think this is the major advantage over oled panels. Dolby vision looks great also, plus gaming. I purchase a 55 inch for 750 bucks with all these great features. Hisense provides a 2 year warranty. I also bought a 2 extended warrant just in case. I truly believe mini-led is the future. I think it will surpass the oleds in the future.

Tv has excellent blacks and gets very bright. Looks very good for hdr content. Will not disappoint. To get a better picture quality, you will have to spend a few thousand more. The cons can being viewing angle most people this will not bother. Another con in ram is low on the tv that makes processor work more. That make apps for tv glitch a lot where you will have to clear chashe a lot. My recommendation buy apple streaming devices and bypass that. You will not have in issue. Sound quality is excellent on this tv you will not need a sound bar. To get better sound quality you will have to buy a 1500 dollar sound bar.

After doing research on several different TVs, this one won out and I have absolutely no regrets. The refresh rate is great and the quality is crazy good. It's ridiculously clear, apps load super fast with basically no lag, and the color is "chef's kiss". It was also super simple to set up. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

If you're coming from one of the top brands, don't hesitate. This Hisense will impress you. My wife complains about how bright it is, the build quality is very good. I did get a slightly dim horizontal band that's only visible in a completely gray screen, but how often is that the picture? Just impressed through and through with this, Hisense is ready for the big leagues. My one gripe if I have to be critical is that the UI can be a little sluggish at times, and apps decide to act a bit funny. That could just be a google TV thing though.

I purchased this Hisense 55" two weeks ago. The room I placed it in receives a lot of sunlight, so I needed a set with exceptional brightness. This tv fits the bill. The picture is bright and sharp, with great color, and it's loaded with apps. Compared to a Samsung or an LG, this set is a deal. I only gave it four stars instead of five, because it has turned turned itself on a couple of times. I contacted Hisense, and they offered to send out a tech to diagnose the issue.

For Christmas, we replaced a 20+ y/o 40" 1080p flat screen with this 55" 4K Hisense U8 with 1500 nits. AMAZING PICTURE: crisp and bright with no blurring during action scenes. The GoogleTV interface has been a breeze to work with and we've been able to tweek the TV easily. We added an Insignia TV stand and a Hisense 3.1.2 Dolby ATMOS soundbar with wireless subwoofer to complete the set-up. The Best Buy price was the most competitive around and their delivery service was great. We couldn't be more pleased with our purchase.

After watching untold numbers of YouTube reviews and customer satisfaction indexes, this was my pic of the litter to replace my aging Vizio LCD television, which was extremely poor for a well lit room. This more than makes up for it, even though there are still some reflections on the screen, which unless you spend 2 to 3 times more And still have reflections, it is 150% improvement over what I had before. The difference is, and I’m not overstating this, between night and day, as far as brilliance and picture quality.

I got the 65" U8K and was so impressed with it, I had to get the 55" for my daughter. We enjoy playing Xbox togther, and now that we're both rock'n MiniLED, we have sufficiently upgraded our gaming/movie experience, without breaking the bank. Hers might be the 55", but the sound is almost identical to the 65"s sound (in terms of beefy bass and Atmos quality). The screen looks just as impressive as well. I'm looking forward to all the adventures we're gonna have with these amazing T.V.'s.

This was the best purchase ever before the Super Bowl the picture is crystal clear with the right setup from your setting the audio is decent but very clear even though you don't have a soundbar I don't think you're necessarily need it but in my case I definitely I'm going for a soundbar but the audio is definitely good now gaming is definitely good as well the response time is so quick compare playing on a 1080p TV with this TV with higher response time you better have a fast reaction in your gameplay I would say to anybody go for this model if you can find it if not buy the successor it's still worth the purchase.

This is our third day of using this TV. We delayed installing the TV pending arrival of a table-top stand. Due to the set's location we had to replace the two feet with a center-post stand. Currently, we consider this to be the best TV we have every owned in more than 50 years. (We run our TV fifteen hours a day seven days a week.) The picture is incredible in a well-lit or dark room. The audio output is wonderful. Plus, this set has an earphone jack allowing us to easily connect it to our 30 plus years old surround/stereo system (top of the line at the time). We only wish the 64-page owner's manual came supplied in hardcopy and not on-screen/on-line. Overall, well-done HISENSE!

This TV is a hidden gym. 144 refresh rate at 4k resolution which does wonders for pc and console gaming. Supports dolby vision and atmos. Picture quality and vividness is on par with the more expensive sony bravia. Sound is great. If you're waiting to get a home theater surround sound, then the built-in speakers and subwoofer will do until then.

I've had a pretty good experience with this tv. Been using it for a year now. Coming from a Sony Bravia LED, the mini led with higher brightness made it a great experience. And using it in filmmaker mode makes it really good with the lights on, but in a dark room it's pretty amazing. The next best thing is OLED

I was looking for a replacement for my old samsung LED 4K tv and after reading different opinions online decided to try Hisense. Set up was relatively easy and similar to other smart TVS. Picture is great and sound is actually clearer than my surround sound system. Wider variety of apps on their google store that were missing from samsungs store so now i dont need to turn on an additional device to watch different streaming services like crunchyroll.
