I bought this tv and the nex gen channels so far , are not encripted,this could change at a later date.

It's not a standard feature of the ATSC 3.0 broadcasting protocol. ATSC 3.0 (NextGen TV) is a broadcast television standard that allows for more efficient transmission of content, improved picture and sound quality. While the ATSC 3.0 standard itself doesn't mandate encryption, broadcasters have the option to encrypt their streams if they choose to do so. This encryption may be implemented for various reasons, such as content protection or controlling access to premium channels.
