We do not have cable, only WIFI. You can download any app to watch on the tv...some free, some paid. For instance we pay for things like Paramount + and Youtube tv. We just signed up online, paid, then downloaded the app on the tv. Others are free like Pluto Tv. Other than what you want to install on your tv, there is no service you HAVE to be subscribed to other than your own wifi.
