Same issue. Completely misleading in the description as well as the hisense rep and best buy employees. 144hz is really only activated for pc/console use. Otherwise, streaming from any apps (Netflix, Prime, etc), is 60 hz or lower. It DOES NOT convert to 144 (or even 120 hz), even though the panel is apparently 144hz native (WHY???). Instead, it uses motion smoothing, and it is awful. Brightness is good, and images/colors CAN be good at times, but unless all you want to do is game, the refresh rate+ smoothing will ruin pretty much anything you watch at 1080p or lower. It was marketed as an upgrade to 60 hz TV's, which came with a price jump, so I figured it would work....but it's basically a lie. So disappointing and probably will return it.
