I can answer part of your questions. I have this tv in a darker room and the picture is great. Viewing off center is good as well. Glare from the door or the lamp does reflects on the screen but picture quality is not affected.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The 75" version of the Hisense U6N has an IPS panel with excellent viewing angles from the sides and from the top and bottom. However, all the other sizes use a VA panel with terrible viewing angles fro the sides and from the top and bottom. I personally hate VA panels, because if you get even a little bit off to the side or from the top, you start to notice a difference in color. In fact, I recently bought a VA monitor for my computer and returned it to the store for this very reason. I'm 6' 3" tall and even looking down from the top caused the color of "Blue" in the Windows 10 Desktop to look more like an "Aqua Green" just from looking down. And when I would move even the slightest bit to the sides, the "Reds" and other colors would change, too. I strongly suggest you either buy the 75" IPS from Hisense or TCL or buy another manufacturer with an IPS such as LG. The IPS format has been known for having "Poor Contrast" over the years; however, that is no longer a factor because of the "Mini-LED" technology used in those TVs. The "Blacks" are very "Black" with excellent contrast as a result of the Mini-LED technology. If you turn the Mini-LED technology off, you do in fact see terrible contrast ratios. But, there is no reason to do that, because that is presumably why you bought the TV. Also, Toshiba makes a very good IPS TV that is far less expensive. The Toshiba model does not have "Mini-LED" technology, which means the contrast ratio is poor. But the price is only $249 for the 55" version. I personally prefer the 55" Toshiba IPS simply because it has good viewing from the sides. The Hisense and TCL models that are VA have terrible viewing from the sides, so by default I would never buy them. I actually wish Hisense would make an IPS 55" and 65" model the way they do a 75" model. If Hisense would have done this, I would have bought a 55" U7 or U8 model this year of 2024. Instead, I bought the 55" Toshiba IPS. The final nail in the coffin for the year 2024 for the U7N and U8N is that they actually have INFERIOR "Judder Reduction" technology compared to the year 2023. The 2024 models do NOT possess "Judder Reduction" technology when a 24p native source such as a movie is seen via 60i technology such as a Comcast cable box. For some reason, the U6N model actually DOES possess this "Judder Reduction" technology in 2024, even though the U7N and U8N models do NOT. This "Judder Reduction" reason was what motivated me to say "Screw it" and just buy the less expensive $249 model from Toshiba. I thought, "Hisense, TCL, LG and the others still need more time to fix the problems with Judder and Stutter problems, so I need to just wait longer without investing much money."
