In situations like yours (new construction without steps yet): • The entry path needs to be stable, safe, and able to handle the size/weight of the appliances. • A “big step” without stairs or a ramp is generally not acceptable. • It’s your responsibility (or your contractor’s) to have a safe access point ready — e.g., temporary steps, a sturdy ramp, or another clear path into the home. Best move: Call Best Buy delivery support ahead of your scheduled date, explain that the concrete steps won’t be ready, and ask what’s required. That way you’ll know if you need to set up a temporary ramp before they arrive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.We had two 6-8 inch steps and a 4 inch threshold that they dollied an oven dishwasher, clothes washer, and dryer over. They had no problem. I doubt they would take on some big hole in their pathway for personal safety and risk of damage to the item - I wouldn't want them to do it if for no other reason than personal liability and not wanting someone to get hurt because of my construction area. So, you'd better get some ramp constructed - they won't.
